Everyone always dreams of finding their second half! Who wouldn’t? To find that other person who completes them and makes them feel whole! Sometimes it can come out of no where, and not be expected but once they find that person they want to spend their life with they just know it! Skyla and I definitely did not expect it.

We were once enemies and I’m being serious! Anyways, after 3 years being together, full of happiness and travels we went to Bahamas, just the two of us to island hop! We started off in Nassau and went to many other islands, which make up the Exumas! This will also be another separate blog! When planning the trip to Bahamas I knew she was the one! We had been together for three years, lived together almost all of it and we just clicked perfectly! Not to mention we have the same exact birthday!

While planning the trip I told my mom I wanted to propose and look for a ring. We headed to “gold and Diamond source in CLW Florida!” Great store and highly recommend!

When arriving at the store, we were welcomed by some amazing staff members who helped us find the perfect ring! I had an idea of what style she liked since we talked about it many times, but I wanted it to be the perfect one! Unlike many jewelry stores, “Gold and Diamond source” offers a blank template to make a ring from scratch! With this being said I was able to select a band I wanted as well as a diamond to place on it separately!

Skyla always said she wanted a white gold band with a princess cut diamond and that’s exactly what she got! Her ring turned out amazing and even came with a free sizing and cleaning!

It was very difficult keeping the secret of what I was actually up to that day! I made sure only a select amount of people knew and kept it like that! Since we share locations, I knew she would see I was there so I even shut my location off and said I was meeting with a banker to discuss loans for nursing school and that my location was off because I was getting a new phone right after.... which I did!

Long story short everything went fine and she never found out! To all the guy reading this... it’s defiantly nerve wrecking getting permission from the family but don’t let it stop you! It’s such an amazing experience and as long as they like you they won’t be mad about it! If you do it like I did, make sure to keep the ring hidden during security on the plane! When passing I kept it on my carry on in a draw

String bag! I was very worried they would pull it out but they never did!

On our second night in Bahamas, which was our anniversary I had an amazing restaurant reserved with the help of our AIR BNB owner! The man was amazing! We messaged back and fourth for weeks before the trip and he helped me choose the best restaurant since I am not a local and wasn’t sure what to pick! After reserving the restaurant the next thing to do was find a hidden photographer. I was

quick to jump on instagram and search #Bahamasphotography which lead me to another fantastic local! He helped me plan the rest of the proposal! When arriving to the restaurant of choice, “Blue sail Nassau,” I was already in shock. The place was even better than it was in pictures!! When I called the restaurant in advance I asked for the best table they had.

As we walked up to the restaurant I told her to go look at the water while I checked in! I already knew we didn’t have a wait due to arriving an

Hour early but she had no idea!

I met her out by the water and

told her they said we had a wait so I suggested

That we should go take pictures with the GoPro by the boardwalk! Clueless, we walked out on the boardwalk where I set up my GoPro as a DECOY!

I told her to give me a hug for the pic and when she did I went down on one knee! She was absolutely speechless, shocked and stunned! She had no idea & started crying when I asked. I had to cut her off from crying by saying look over! When she did she realized the man that was on the far end of the dock taking pics of the “kite surfers” was really waiting to take pics of us! She quickly wiped the tears away and gave me the biggest hug and kiss! After the proposal he gave us an hour-long session before we went to dinner! Sadly, it started to rain (the only time it rained the entire week trip there)! We ended up being moved inside to a large table overlooking the sliding glass doors!

the best pizza ever! The food was amazing! Service was great! Everyone in the restaurant cheered and whistled off the deck when I proposed and the photos turned out speechless! Overall, it was an awesome experience! Nerve wrecking, difficult to pull off being in a different country with no one you know, But with the help of the locals I was able to pull off such An amazing thing! Photos below!!!

I went ahead and typed up a detailed explanations of how I did it and had it emailed to

him within 2 days! I included the restaurant, taxi drivers we loved, Who did our photos, ETC.

OCTOBER 2nd I received this picture from someone who was a complete stranger to me! He was so happy I helped him plan a trip across the country to propose to someone who he loved dearly just like I did with Skyla! With my detailed help, he was able to pull off an amazing thing! Being an influencer and social media fan, this is what I live for! Some people post about products and brands just like me but this was by far the most amazing experience ever! Not only did I get engaged with my own ideas and planning from scratch but I was able to help someone from an entire different continent pull off their most special moment as well!
