About Me:

So you must be interested in finding a photographer if you are on this page so let me share a little bit about myself with you. My name is John Schmidt and I am a RN graduate from Keiser University. I have received my AA degree as well as my ADN.

For as long as I can remember, I have always been interested in photography and videography. I grew up making small videos with my moms cameras and taking tons of pictures of my pets using a disposable.

In 2015 social media platforms took a major change. I have to say my biggest idol seemed to have caused part of this movement. During this year, Jay Alvarrez and many other adventure seeking, travel enthusiasts started posting pictures of their action packed lives. This is when social media took a twist from posting pictures of friends, foods, and things people liked to a competition of who had the best content. Who had the most creative and unique posts. These content creators then gained followers after followers which lead them to eventually start marketing for brands. This is where the term “influencers” was established

Social media Influencers became the big thing in 2018 and has continued to grow ever since. These people became models, actors, social media icons, marketing campaigns and more. They were found from their personal social media platforms and chosen to represent brands, logos and other products. During this social media change I realized that my everyday life fit the look. I spent much time on the water and traveling and felt as if I could tie this into my social media just like these powerful influencers. I started posting a new style to my platforms incorporating my adventures.

I received much feedback on these posts with many comments on my photography and editing skill. Soon I was asked to take pictures for brands. I was then sent free products to advertise in my Instagram photos! Shortly after many people were asking if I would be interested in doing photo shoots for them, Family photos, senior photos, graduation, etc. I took on this opportunity and started to take pictures of others instead of just myself. I have now reached many people and been able to help them create photos they will be able to cherish forever. I have done many shoots varying from newborn shots to engagements. I’ve done personal videos to even small business commercials! My schedule varies and I am very flexible so please feel free to reach out to me with any questions you may have.
